Stop to think, starting anew can be life saving because it makes you focus on what's really important in life and commerce.
This story is heartbreaking and inspirational at the same time, a teen telling his story via YouTube nights before his death. Titled, "This is my story - Part 1 & 2” by Ben Breedlove from Austin, Texas.
Part 1
Part 2
The start of a new year can be a bit overwhelming maybe it's time to "start" differently by telling your story.
Living it to the fullest, StellaPop
And thanks, Ben!
As I was working this morning in one of my local coffee shops...
Everyone entering was so happy to see each other, a pleasant morning of small talk and exchanged greetings with friends, co-workers and neighbors as they "coffee-d" up for the start of the day. You cannot re-created this kind of community at the injected molded plastic world of over stuffed couches, green paint and swing hipster music which has become a mindless ritual. Or the new coffee ritual observed by millions across the country, sitting in their cars with windows rolled down, yelling at the aluminium box as a returned barking...

SocialMediaDigest says this,
According to the Ad-ology 2011 Small Business Marketing Forecast, small business owners are increasingly optimistic overall, and 46% plan increased...

Hi. I'm the new logo and I work at the Gap. It seems most of you hate me.
I gotta get a new gig and NO this isn't the phone company.
Message from Marka Hansen - President - Gap North America
This past Monday, without a lot of fanfare, we introduced a new logo on our gap.com site, and I wanted to take this opportunity to explain our thinking behind this decision.
I've been president at Gap brand for the past three years, and I've been living and breathing the changes we've been making on our journey to make Gap more relevant to our customers.

"Can iPad Save Newspapers & Magazines?"
Yesterday I was part of CNET’s Reporters’ Roundtable, talking about the in-vogue topic of whether iPad will be a savior of newspapers and magazines. Moderated by Rafe Needleman, editor of CNET’s Webware, it included Damon Darlin, the technology editor of News York Times,...
I found this little gem at InformationWeek - Global CIO Blog, the piece was written by Bob Evans, Senior VP - Global CIO. Here's the video - enjoy!
Can a 5-minute animated video capture a technology company's global vision? IBM's "The Internet Of Things" YouTube clip is inspiring and compelling and the sort of fresh thinking more tech companies should try, although I did crack up during the final segment as some massively Deepak-Choprah-overdosed guy buzzes about what the planet is saying and the universe is hearing.
Most of the animated video is a spirited mix of voice-overs describing...

I grew up traveling all over the United States and we drove that fire engine red Ford LTD with tan leather interior everywhere. I better come clean now with my dad. Dad sorry it was me who unlaced all the leather stitched rear seats.
I'm sorry, it was just to much to resist and I was tired of looking at the Wyoming country side.
Have fun with this one! I bet you can't get them all?

Marketing Leg That Is.
Does your marketing and advertising show a little leg?
Marketing, advertising and branding messages have to step out beyond your comfort levels sometimes and show some leg in order to communicate your message in a crowded and loud marketplace.
If you're unwilling to step out in that short dress and lose control of your message a little, figuratively speaking, by showing some marketing leg then it's mostly likely your message won't penetrate to an intended audience and attract attention.
Go and dig deep in that content closet and find a short skirt revealing...
Or is your content marketing, branding and advertising staring at each other like these well executed security programs?

Stell says, build quality content marketing programs that communicate. It doesn't have to be expensive and extravagant just do it - start.
Baked Alaska and Arthur's Walk
There once was a turkey named Arthur, now you see Arthur was a very different turkey, because he lived in Alaska. It seems that he liked the winter, not because he did not want to be someone's Thanksgiving meal, in fact he never even heard of Thanksgiving!
One day Arthur was walking to the store, when he saw a bunch of people chasing after him! He followed his gutt, and suprisingly didn't run! He held up his feathery wing and said in his calmest voice he could have, "Um.....hello, my name is Arthur, and I'm pondering why you are chasing me?!".
They all took...

"A Play on Words that Makes a Connection"
How about this titled site and article play on words, "The Emperor's Old Clothes: Popped in on Stella's Pop-Up in East Hampton's Springs." The story and title subtly word play draws you in and then the wordsmith goes for the content kill with a well written recount of Stella McCartney's boutiques arrival in the little town of East Hampton Springs, New York. Is he happy to see another "pop-up" shop or miffed? I know Stella was happy for all the free press and a quick exit from a successful trunk show out in the deepest "burbs"...

Stella Pop Content Marketing - Are You Tactical or Strategic?
The world is speeding by and sometimes it's hard to get a moment to think especially if you run, manage or own a business.
Here are two questions for you whether you are a sole proprietor or board room maverick:
Are you a tactical or strategic leader?
Are you running a business or developing one?
Might be helpful to define both of the words, I know you know what they mean,
but sometimes is helpful to see the definition straight from Merriam-Webster:
tactical: aiming at an end beyond and taking immediate...
